I urge people to join in, comment with your paragraph of fiction to accompany the image. It doesn’t have to follow my story or reflect the same themes. It can be a poem or in a different language (provide a translation please :)). Anyone who wants to join in, is welcome. This photograph will be reblogged under Ermisenda on tumblr, and added to the Picture it & Write gallery on Facebook and Pinterest.
Every fortnight we hope to host a photograph suggested by contributors. So, keep those photograph recommendations coming. Submit your favorite images (with credit) for next week’s Picture it & Write!
This graphic design class was harder than I expected. There were so many layers of images that if I didn’t pay attention I was erasing a hand instead of a vase. The undo button was my friend, most of the time. I kept telling myself I needed to work in smaller chunks so that when I mess up it doesn’t undo everything I’ve been meticulously working on for an hour, but I never seem to do so. Okay, maybe an hour is an exaggeration, but I feel like it’s that long. Why am I even drawing stupid flowers anyway? Oh yeah. Her.

It’s so funny… you posted a graphic design and for some reason, I was totally surprised when I read “graphic design class.” I like the way this feels like a real reminder for graphic design editing. Haha, wait a minute? Her who?
Here’s A Flower by Annie Other Name…?.
Haha, I wanted to do something different now that Ermi and I are trading off weeks. I considered continuing and explaining the her, but I wanted to leave it open for someone else to come in and continue the story.
The smith returned home in dismay.
Ten years they had shared on that day.
No gift he could find her
would rightly remind her
so he wrought her an iron bouquet.
Interesting. Not sure how you got there from the image, but that’s part of what makes Picture it & Write so great!
Thanks for contributing.
It looks a little like a wrought-iron scroll that bloomed. http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/bf/b/AAAAAkAF95YAAAAAAL-wNQ.jpg?v=1200250688000
Oo pretty!
Getting a taste for limericks I see Anne. Be warned, it’s a slippery slope.
Haha, not likely. I think that’s the fifth one I’ve ever written that wasn’t a requirement.
Hi Anne – I went in the same direction myself. I saw wrought iron.
I liked your limerick and the irony of wroughting her an iron bouquet. Lovely. Randy
here is my effort for your writing exercise.

It’s so scary how people can be so nice and normal one minute, hiding a monster beneath the facade. I liked that you explained his actions. Even though it did not make up for his actions, I like knowing what drives the “evil” characters. The best evil characters are driven by something beyond money or power, a wound or insecurity.
Thanks for contributing to Picture it & Write.

Awe! I especially loved the “mockeries of botanical possibility” description. Very beautiful. I wish more people wrote/spoke like that.
Thanks for contributing to Picture it & Write

Hahaha… I wouldn’t even try.. (to draw flowers..! ). I felt the frustration..! 😉 Sometimes though, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do…. 🙂

Mines listed above. Randy
Or mine is listed above. Or, the correct “mine’s” listed above.
But you can just click on the above if it’s easier (thank goodness I didn’t type its)
LOL, you’re such a writer. Don’t you wish you could edit your own comments to fix typos. They should give you a 60 second window to say “oops,” and edit.
Haha, reminds me of doing graphics at school for a term last year. Here’s my contribution: http://sphrbn.wordpress.com/?p=424

My first reaction was “clearly they don’t have much of a marriage if he’s just telling her now and “you’re not doing them any favors by leading them on.” I softened a little when it turns out it was only a week, but still… and I’m actually on the other side of that as the one who can’t have kids. I wish more people would adopt though; so many kids need good homes.
Thanks for contributing. 🙂
Is he worth all those tears?
(Duet: No he is not!)
Did you not give him enough?
(Duet: More than enough!)
All those long nights and many days!
(Duet: Countless! Countless!)
Must you whither at his mere thought?
(Duet: You must not! You must not!)
Will you two over there be quiet for a moment?
(Duet: Whispering…)
If you must cry all night… We will stay with you.
Awe, I loved how it plays out like a song. Thanks for sharing.
