Welcome to the Picture it & Write creative writing exercise. I invite people to join in, comment with your paragraph of fiction to accompany the image. It doesn’t have to follow my story or reflect the same themes. It can be a poem or in a different language (please provide a translation). Anyone who wants to join in, is welcome. This photograph will be reblogged under Ermisenda on tumblr and added to the Picture it & Write gallery on Facebook and Pinterest.

Please continue to write however you’re inspired, but add a tag to the beginning of your post if there’s mature content in order to keep Picture it & Write an engaging event for all of our followers.

I’m very sorry but in order to continue to help Ermisenda add new and engaging content consistently, I may be unable to reply to every contribution. This has become so popular that I’m just unable to keep up. Thank you for understanding. vintage teacups “Sticky notes? Are you serious?”

“It was so awkward. Why can’t they write it in their will like everyone else in the world?”

Megan lay on her bed and threw a stress ball at the ceiling, catching it deftly in one hand and tossing it up again. Leah sat in the adjacent rocking chair, using one foot to push herself pack and forth while she drew tattoos on her other leg in permanent marker.

“Did they just hand you sticky notes and tell you to go at it?”

“After dinner, they handed me a pink stack and my mom a yellow stack. They told us to place a sticky note on anything we want. First dibs. Not sure who gets it if mom and I both want it. I guess her and I’ll get it after she died?”

“Good thing you’re an only child. Did you see anything good?”

Megan thought back to some of the prettier antiques. “Some vintage teacups. None of them were in a full set, so Mom didn’t want them, but I dunno, something about mismatched misfits really spoke to me.”
