“I hate them.” The first sister growled.
“Do not let them get to you. They are only stupid teenagers.” The second sister caressed her faded wreath.
“They are obnoxiously loud. Their feet tear up the soil as they stomp.”
“Patience,” the second sister wrapped her arms around her sisters. “They will explore the caves. And we will wait for them.”
The third sister hissed. Her eyes opened and she absorbed the light until it was pitch black. They waited.

Nice paragraph, I like the idea of using pictures for inspiration, bad things is now I want to read more of your story. Here’s mine.
The three princesses were bound still by the witches spell, bound by the cold fingers that were turning them to stone. They had no choice to watch as the water rose higher and higher. Their minds were as sharp as ever, the cruelest part of the enchantment, water would not end their lives, they would be forever captured in stone, with no hope of escape even from death.

Pretty obvious idea I know but I like it 🙂

Oh no. Darn witches always turning people into stone. A cool idea that they were aware of it happening. Is there an antidote? Will a prince or a fellow kickass princess come to set them free? Thanks for joining this week, Emma. 🙂 It was fun to read!

That’s one messed up legend. Cool! 😀 I think that giant needs to offer the maidens something for potentially bringing his child into the world. Mmm…maybe he should pay for their college tuition and a car? That sounds fair. Thanks for contributing this week, Joe! 🙂

I really liked the center focus on ‘legs’ as the means for them to become independent. I wouldn’t have thought about that. Very creative. Thanks for joining this week, Joseph! 🙂

That would be terrifying. Although, it’s a bit extreme to throw them down there for being ungrateful and rude. Imagine if all the youth of today who were ungrateful and rude were thrown down into a pit. Maybe we’d have a much more grateful lot than we do now. 😛 Cool story and love the creepiness of the sisters.
