I urge people to join in, comment with your paragraph of fiction to accompany the image. It doesn’t have to follow my story or reflect the same themes. It can be a poem or in a different language (provide a translation please ). Anyone who wants to join in, is welcome. This photograph will be reblogged under Ermisenda on tumblr and added to the Picture it & Write gallery on Facebook and Pinterest.
Please continue to write however you’re inspired, but add a tag to the beginning of your post if there’s mature content in order to keep Picture it & Write an engaging event for all of our followers.
The walls and floors vibrated. The roar of crumbling rocks filled my ears and I scrambled back into a dark corner of the cave. My eyes twitched as blades of light pierced the wall and hit me in the face and body. Laughing hysterically, I shielded my face from the pieces of flying rock. When I brought my arms down, I couldn’t see for what seemed like forever. I was blind. The light was too bright but I was still smiling.
Then I could see. The cold outside world had greeted us again. I looked over to the person who I had been trapped with for the past weeks. Could we just go on with our lives after all that happened? I flinched at the memories, my smile was no more.
