The Ultimate God-Moding Example

rp, writing

Some of you may already know that Ermisenda and I first met on an RP site. For those of you who don’t know how that works, two or more people write a section of a story describing their own character and said character’s actions. It can look something like this homework assignment…

However, most RP sites have a rule about God-Moding (GMing), controlling what happens to another player’s character without their permission as was seen here.

Hope you enjoyed it!

I urge people to join in, comment with your paragraph of fiction to accompany the image. It doesn’t have to follow my story or reflect the same themes. It can be a poem or in a different language (provide a translation please :) ). Anyone who wants to join in, is welcome. This photograph will be reblogged under Ermisenda on tumblr and added to the Picture it & Write gallery on Facebook.

Every fortnight we hope to host a photograph suggested by contributors. So, keep those photograph recommendations coming. Submit your favourite images (with credit) for next week’s Picture it & write!

Collecting youth. by alexstoddard on Flickr.

The sharp nail scraped my chin. It may as well have been a blade as the lethal, gritty edge punctured my skin. With my half closed and yet fluttering eyes, it was hard to see the person before me. I wanted to run but I needed the money. I needed to seal this deal. The darkness was thick and appeared to pulse rapidly, just like my wild heart. “Lavish in your newly acquired riches,” the gravelly voice spoke, from neither a man or woman but something much more hellish. “But the clock is ticking and I will collect.” The gnarled finger caressed my cheek and I shuddered.
