I urge people to join in, comment with your paragraph of fiction to accompany the image. It doesn’t have to follow my story or reflect the same themes. It can be a poem or in a different language (provide a translation please ). Anyone who wants to join in, is welcome. It was dark. Each way I turned, I could only see a blur of what had been. I remembered running down these streets with my brothers and sisters, all eight of them. No children littered the streets now. Only a decrepit man was strewn across a rusty street bench.
I quickened my pace. The bottom of my dress collected grime from the street. I shuddered at the thought. It was too expensive to be dragging on the ground. What would my husband think? So much had changed since when I had married the Count and left my hometown. I could see that much had happened here too.
