Welcome to Picture it & Write, a weekly creative writing prompt here on ErmiliaBlog. I invite people to join in to our creative writing prompt. Comment with your paragraph of fiction to accompany the image; it doesn’t have to follow my story or reflect the same themes. It can be a poem or in a different language (please provide a translation).
Please continue to write however you’re inspired, but add a tag to the beginning of your post if there’s mature content in order to keep Picture it & Write an engaging event for all of our followers.
Cut along the dashes. Color within the lines. Ha. We are not a cookie cutter family. We bake ninja breadmen and put the lights on the tree last. We own cats who drink from toilet bowls and always want attention. We sing like no one is listening, dance like no one is watching, and eat like calories don’t matter.

Happy holidays to you as well!
I love the idea of creating one’s own sunshine in the same way we are responsible for our own happiness.

Such a simple picture evoked strong feelings. My muse was very responsive. Not sure it’s good but I enjoyed the process. Thank you!
