I walked through the crowd, scanning the guests. Where was she? My gaze jumped from face-to-face. I had only seen her once before, but I knew that I’d recognise her the moment I saw her again. I placed a hand on my chest and felt my knife concealed inside my jacket pocket. I would bring her down before she brought all of us down.
Fireworks suddenly exploded to my left. The guests ahh-ed and ohh-ed in wonder. I briefly looked at the fireworks erupting like flowers in the sky. I felt the tip of a knife poking my back. A gentle hand rested on my shoulder and I heard her voice, “Let’s find a place a little more quiet, shall we?”

Good story Ermi. There is indeed something about tuxedos what makes it look you have a concealed weapon on you. Here is mine. Sorry about missing a few of these. I’ve been away.

Enjoy

There really is, isn’t there?
Why not kill him when he was a baby then? I guess there wouldn’t be a story otherwise! 😀 I loved the mystery and the open-ended finale to keep us readers wondering.
Two shay. Dangerous game I see. Spewed my coffee all over. 😀 😀 😀
Oh, what a dangerous game!
😀 😀 😀 Dangerous is right!

A magnificent story Ermisenda ~ A lovely sinister approach ~ 🙂
Here is my response to the picture ~ I love the difference ~~

Thanks. I can never resist the sinister approach when it presents itself.
Interesting idea. I liked this line – “A lot of folk were in the caterpillar stage, gorging themselves on burgers and chips and all manner of junk food.” I can just envision people gorging on the food and fattening up like caterpillars. Thanks for contributing this week!
Hey ladies! Hope you’re doing awesome! Here is my entry for this week! 😀

Heya Meghan! 🙂 We’re doing well. I hope you’re doing awesome too.
This line really hit me in the gut – “I’ve been black and blue for so long” the imagery is powerful. Thanks for contributing this week to Picture it & write! 🙂
Thank you very much!

I see the touch of an 007 story in there, Ermilia. Spies and espionage … Very exciting! I’d love to know who comes out tops in this. 🙂
Here is my entry for this week:

I do love spies and espionage. 😀 Tuxedos just remind me of 007, poker, and concealed pistols.
Hahaha I loved this line – “The bride’s family were blatantly snubbing the lesser mortals to their right.” They’re just sooooo superior! Well, good luck with their chauffeur son-in-law! 😛 Thanks for contributing this week, Millie. 🙂

I am trying my hand at this one! https://scrapydo2.wordpress.com/2015/03/09/picture-it-write/
That’s a cute end. I like when couples still get to be themselves in the very formal event of a wedding. It’s a good thing she got there on time too!
Me too!
Lovely story. I loved how you wrote it.
Here is my take on the picture

I like how they are so entranced by each other’s presences even though they had an audience watching (and eventually cheering). It really communicates that feeling of being in love where all your attention fixates on your partner. I like how you incorporated the crooked tie into the story too. 🙂
Thank you so much!
