Thanks Ermi for covering me last week while I moved. I will be hosting the next two installments of Picture it & Write.
Welcome to the Picture it & Write creative writing exercise. I invite people to join in, comment with your paragraph of fiction to accompany the image. It doesn’t have to follow my story or reflect the same themes. It can be a poem or in a different language (please provide a translation). Anyone who wants to join in, is welcome. This photograph will be reblogged under Ermisenda on tumblr and added to the Picture it & Write gallery on Facebook and Pinterest.
Please continue to write however you’re inspired, but add a tag to the beginning of your post if there’s mature content in order to keep Picture it & Write an engaging event for all of our followers.

“You’re a grown woman. How long are you going to insist on having childish birthday parties?”
“Always.”
It hurt Samatha that her friends couldn’t understand. Needless to say, they were not part of the fandom. Racing home, she dumped the Jelly Bellys into a bowl and poored the butter beer. She was having an “adult” birthday party damn it. She’d found a Harry Potter drinking game after all.

Growing up is overrated. Definitely have to participate this week 🙂
My mom watched Saturday morning cartoons with us and would get more upset over certain reruns than we would. “We’ve already seen this episode, they promised a new one!”
Amy sat in her hospital bed, her parents had told her it was likely her last birthday, on her 10th birthday, that was a year ago. She was close to the end, her parents got her whatever she wanted. The made her a special cake, Harry Potter themed, she wished she could go there. She loved everything about Hogwarts, at the end of her hospital, which consisted of her and her parents. She had some butterbeer and lay down for a nap.The last thing she remembered was dreaming of was Dumbledore opening the doors to the great hall.
Loved your story, I am an adult that HP too 🙂
Awe, that’s a good way to die, comparatively speaking. *sniff*
Thank you 🙂 I liked your one too 🙂 It’s a good way to think of new stories 🙂
Thank you 😀 I hope you return for more Picture it & Write prompts.
Better to have found a quaffing game. Quaffing’s like drinking, only more gets spilled.
Nah, I really liked the board game we found. I didn’t want to spill stuff all over the new place. We should have taken some Pottering pictures but didn’t think about it.
Hey Eliabeth!! Hope your birthday turned out better than this! 🙂

That is the kind of cake I want for my birthday!
One of the guests brought butterbeer cupcakes with fondant glasses, sorting hats, snitches, and something else.
I wanna play that drinking game….. This photo’s a toughy – it’s so specific 🙂
Yeah, I thought about that so the next one I picked something more inspiring. Forgive me, I had to indulge myself for my birthday. The rest of the prompts are much easier.
Hey, It just made it a challenge. Besides, the only thing holding me back is my preference for not writing fan-fiction.
As long as your enjoyed your birthday, what else matters? ^_^
