The National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) 2013 is coming up soon. Are you ready to try and write 50,000 words in 30 days?
I’m going to go for it this year. I’m hoping to finish my current personal project Desert Queendom. And also have part of the word count contribute to Blind Sight #2. I think I can manage 50k since this November I only have one exam. Usually in November I have heaps of university exams so it has always been too overwhelming. But even if I don’t properly compete, I do like to make the extra effort to write in November. I tentatively say that I’d also like to do YouTube videos (writing inspiration vlog) during November but we’ll see. I think I’m getting too ambitious!
What will be your goal? 100 words a day? 1667 words a day? Share with me down below. 🙂 Add me as a buddy on the website HERE if you’d like. I hope this November will be buzzing with writers!

Not a chance! I can barely keep up with what I do now!
Fair enough. 😀 Staying on top of your current writing goals can still be a challenge to pursue!
I’ve been finding it tricky lately.
😦 Best of luck, Joe. If there’s anything I can help with, let me know.
I agree with Joe! Lol 🙂
Aw, party pooper! 😛 The Nano is not a challenge to be taken lightly, it can be very intimidating. But hopefully the writing month of November can keep you motivated to keep writing. 🙂
I know I am a party pooper sometimes. Lol and yeah, I’ve heard of the Nano, but I’m working on a story now and I like being able to work on it on my own pace. My ideas don’t come to me that much anymore. 😦
Fair enough. 🙂 The Nano definitely pushes us to write write and think less. Works for some people, and not for others. Not sure if I’ll meet the 50k, but definitely would like to finish my current project if possible. 🙂 Then December I can edit! Good luck with your story, Meghan.
If I “write write and think less” then I’ll have more mistakes than any of my stuff. Lol
I wish you good luck on it though! Think positive! And thanks 😀
As it happens, I might be able to finish my ‘teen-vampire’ novel this month. I’m actually aiming for a 40,000 word minimum novella, and as I have already written 34,000, this is doable, if not exceedable. Unlike my other fiction, this one has been commissioned. Working title, ‘From my Cold, Undead Hand’ (you will gather that there’s a fair amount about guns in it, as well as teenagers and vampires).
Woohoo! Great to hear Marie. 🙂 I do like a story with guns in it. That’s sounds great. Wow, a commissioned tale? Never heard of that before. How did that come about?
Simple – my publisher asked me if I would write a teen-vamp novel! 🙂
Well awesome. Aren’t you lucky! Good luck. 🙂
Thank you.
