An amazing definition I found of a word I had no idea existed. What a beautiful concept. It immediately inspired me and made me want to write. It made me think of a man or woman, lined with gold. Their scars would shine bright, making them more beautiful than ever before.
Does it inspire you? What do you think of?

I like it. Where did you get this definition?
I found it on Tumblr! It’s beautiful, right?
This is stunning, what a great concept. Tony
I thought so. 🙂 Thanks for commenting!
This is beautiful. Thank you. In a way I think of myself, stronger and more refined because of all I have seen and felt in life. Yes indeedy.
My daughter, more beautiful inside and out because of her brush with the darker side of herself.
I’m glad you can relate to this definition. It has inspired a plot bunny for me and I hope this concept in some way in a future novel. 🙂
I like this. I was an athlete, artist and had a career in hospital management. Then came the disease that sapped my muscles, brought the pain and fogged my brain. I had to give up the career and cut back on physical work. Each one left a scar, but eventually each scar shone gold. I had time to create, paint, sculpt, carve and write. I made the changes, found a new path, but the scars still show, but now they glow a bit because I would never have found this path if I was still a career driven money maker.
Oh, Swirling Turnip, that is such a shame but also a hidden gift it seems. I’m glad you could take advantage of the situation in the ways that you could and make the best of it. After all, we will always encounter problems and struggles. It’s how we decide to cope and manage which can make us stronger (repair ourselves with gold) or allow ourselves to crumble. My love goes out to you! 🙂
Sounds like a great philosophy to have for life. Good one Ermi! 🙂
I hope to incorporate it more into mine. Hopefully, others also take it on board. 🙂 It’s just such a beautiful concept.
I couldn’t just comment what this inspired, I had to turn it into a story. Here’s Golden Scars.
Oh wow. I love it! Such a great story. It truly encompasses what the post on Ermilia was about. I only hope that others can appreciate why the chair is so much more beautiful now! 🙂
I thought it fit pretty well. I’m really glad you liked it!
Wow that’s a beautiful word! Thus we become better through our mistakes, we learn, we stand up even higher, after we have been broken…
Exactly! 🙂 Thanks for commenting.
Stunning word, metaphor and art.
Thanks, Pirate. It truly is stunning.
