I know it says ‘cast’ but, how do you think the Twilight characters would do in the Hunger Games? Any other novel characters you think would do well or poorly?
Personally, I would love to see Skeeve from the Myth series by Robert Asprin in the Hunger Games. He has a knack for getting himself out of trouble in the most unique and bizarre ways.
-Eliabeth Hawthorne

Bella would be toast, but Edward and the rest of the Cullens, and Jacob and the wolves would do well.
I love that you mentioned Skeeve! I used to read the Myth books over and over… I think I might’ve missed out on the last few because they seemed to lose their oomph, but I loved Aahz as well! Man, that brings back memories. I need to get my hands on that series again. I always borrowed my sister’s copies.
I’d love to see Hermione in the Hunger Games. Well, I’d love it and I’d hate it. It would seem so out of place for her, but with her intelligence and resourcefulness, I think she’d manage pretty well. But I wouldn’t want to put her in that predicament. She’s too much like a close friend to me
Oh I know what you mean about Hermione. I wouldn’t want her in that situation, but I think she could win it. Tananda is another that I think would do well, but wouldn’t want to see pitted against other beloved characters. I could see Skeeve and Tananda playing out very much like Ketniss and Peter. I would elaborate, but I’m hoping you know what I mean w/o spoiling it for people who haven’t read the book yet.
I’ve never actually compared Twilight and The Hunger Games until I saw this. Even though they both fit in the Young Adult fantasy category, they have such different focuses, themes and hearts. I shall have to muse on this a while.
I look forward to your return with an answer, To be fair to Twilight, I haven’t read it, I just find it too creepy. Not because of the vampires or anything, but because it seems to romanticize a potentially abusive relationship where the boyfriend is a stalker.
Susan from Narnia could take down the lot of ‘em.

Oh she would too! I hadn’t considered her. Thanks for sharing.
I would like to see Legolas from Lord of the Rings in there.
I wouldn’t, just because I would rather have Legolas elsewhere…
I spluttered in a rather unladylike way when I read that
You make me smile!
